Description of key information

Acute toxicity studies evaluating the toxicity of the substance to aquatic organisms are available for three different trophic levels. All studies were performed according to international guidelines and GLP. Daphnia magna turned out to be the most sensitive species with a EC50 (48 h) of 265 mg/L (geometric mean measured concentration). For fish (Danio rerio) and for algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) no toxic effects were found up to the solubility limit of the test item.

In an OECD 209 study the test item show no toxic effects at a concentration up to 1000 mg/L to activated sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant.
