Description of key information
A non-GLP acute toxicity study according to ASTM Standard E729-88 was conducted with propylene glycol n-propyl ether exposed to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

A 96 -hr acute toxicity study was conducted with rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to propylene glycol n-propyl ether (PnP). This study was consider the key study, was non-GLP and rated a Klimisch score of 2. The 96 -hr LC50 for rainbow trout was > 100 mg/l, the highest concentration tested.
