First-aid measures

Exposure by eye contact: Flush immediately with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Exposure by skin contact: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Do not use organic solvents. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Exposure by ingestion: Do not induce vomiting due to risk of aspiration into lungs. If aspiration is suspected, obtain immediate medical attention.
Exposure by inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air and call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Fire extinguishing agent:
applicable: carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder, water spray
not applicable: water with full jet

Product arising from burning: Fumes, smoke, oxides of carbon

Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Safeguards (Personnel):
If dust is created, wear dust mask or respirator to keep exposure below the permissible exposure level for particulate matter. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.

Spill procedure:
Contain spilled material. Take up and place in secure closed containers. All waste materials should be packaged, labelled, and transported in accordance with all national and local requirements.

Handling and storage

occupational hygiene
Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene practice and any legal requirements.

Avoid dust formation.

A suitable particle filter mask, chemical resistant gloves and protective clothing should be worn over the whole body.

Storage conditions: The substance should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Keep containers closed at all times. Use with local exhaust ventilation. Employ grounding, venting and explosion releif provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices in process operations capable of generating dust and/or static electricity.

Segregation: Avoid contact with peroxides, oxidising agents and acids.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls:
Good general ventilation should be sufficient to control airborne levels.
Eye / face protection requirements:
Chemical goggles are recommended to avoid contact with eyes.
Skin protection requirements :
For brief contact, normal work attire should be sufficient. When prolonged or frequently repeated contact could occur, use protective clothing impervious to this material.
Respiratory protection requirements:
Under normal use conditions, with adequate ventilation, no special respiratory protective equipment is required. If airborne concentrations exceed the OSHA exposure limit for dust, a NIOSH approved dust mask is recommended.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: This product is stable at ambient conditions.
Polymerization: Hazardous polymerization will not occur.
Incompatibilities with other materials: Avoid contact with acids, oxidizing agents.
Decomposition: Decomposition may produce fumes, smoke, oxides of carbon and hydrocarbons.
Dust explosion: Employ grounding, venting and explosion releif provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices in process operations capable of generating dust and/or static electricity.

Disposal considerations

Waste disposal from use: Follow local and national regulations for disposal by incineration or landfill.
Possibility of recovery abd recycling: Spillages are to be swept up and disposed of by incineration.
