Description of key information

BCF = 3.16 L/kg wet-wt (based on QSAR; EPIWIN)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
3.16 L/kg ww

Additional information

Monomethylamine possesses a measured logPow of -0.713 (BASF AG, 1988). Therefore, no accumulation in organisms is expected. According to REACH Annex VIII, no experimental data is necessary regarding bioaccumulation. For completeness, only a QSAR calculation was performed by EPIWIN (BCFBAF v3.00) resulting in a BCF of 3.16 L/Kg wet-wt (Chemservice S.A., 2010). This result refers to the regression-based estimate (traditional method) of BCFBAF.
