Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

D-Glucopyranose, oligomers, decyl octyl glycosides (CAS: 68515-73-1) is readily biodegradable and moreover hydrolysis is not a relevant pathway according to an OECD 111 screening test. Therefore, the substance is not expected to be persistent in the environment. The adsorption potential is assumed to be low as this substance has a log Koc of 1.7. Evaporation from the water phase to the air can be precluded due to the low Henry’s law constant (1.15E-008 - 1.86E-016 Pa m³/mol). Therefore, water is expected to be the main compartment of substance distribution. However, if emitted into the air the substance is susceptible to indirect photodegradation (DT50 < 24 h). A low potential for bioaccumulation in aquatic and terrestrial species is assumed based on the chemical properties of this substance (log Kow: < 1.77).
