Additional information

TMQ is not readily and inherently biodegradable. No biodegradation of TMQ was ob-served during 28 days exposure in a closed bottle test according to EU method C.4-E (Bayer AG, 2000) and during 35 days exposure to adapted bacterial inoculum (Monsanto, 1979). Therefore better biodegradability in simulation test is not expected and it is scientifically unjustified to carry out such tests. TMQ is considered as provisionally persistent in surface water, sediment and soil.
