A ready biodegradability test was conducted to examine the fate and behaviour of Amides, C18-unsatd., N-[3-(dimethylamine)propyl] in

the environment. The substance was determined to be readily biodegradable.

On the other hand a simulation test (OECD 303 A) was carried out in 2010 in order to characterize biodegradation potential in the effluent of the production sites. In the test conditions it has been demonstrated that tall oil, reaction products with

Amides, C18-unsatd., N-[3-(dimethylamine)propyl]

almost completely removed from the wastewater by biodegradation in conventional biological wastewater treatment plants. The substance is primarily removed by biodegradation.
