Additional information

No terrestrial toxicity data are available for the sulfated fat liquors. Data waivers are indicated. The fat liquors have very low water solubility. This low solubility and their surface active properties make testing of adsorption and desorption impractical and invalid. The fat liquors are rapidly biodegraded. There is not likely to be significant soil distribution and exposure. The biota that have been able to be tested (i.e., fish, daphnids, aquatic microbes and small mammals) indicate these substances have a very low toxicity. The substance is produced and use in industrial complex where it is never released to the environment, because of the complete degradation of the substance in the Waste Water Treatment Plants. No exposure of the soil os expected
