Description of key information

Regarding oxidising properties of 2,2-bis[[(2-ethyl-1-oxohexyl)oxy]methyl]propane-1,3-diyl bis(2-ethylhexanoate) (Hatcol 3346), a statement based on the molecular structure rather than a full study was considered sufficient to cover these endpoints. The substance has no oxidising potential.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Based on structural features, none of the members of the category, including substance EC # 230 -743 -8 is considered to have oxidizing properties, mainly due to an overall oxygen deficiency.

Since the members of the category are, based on structural features, non-oxidizers, classification is not required.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the above mentioned result, classification according to the CLP Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and the Dangerous Substance Directive 67/548/EC is not necessary.
