Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance has a flash-point > 200 °C, therefore the test auto-ignition temperature does not need to be performed based on the rules of adaptation of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. However, based on read across from structurally related substances it is expected that 2,2-bis[[(2-ethyl-1-oxohexyl)oxy]methyl]propane-1,3-diyl bis(2-ethylhexanoate) has a high auto-ignition temperature (> 400 °C).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

All members of the category have auto-ignition temperatures > 400 °C and the substance of interest is also expected to auto-ignite in this temperature range. However, as the substance has a flash-point > 200 °C, the test does not need to be performed based on the rules of adaptation of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
