Description of key information

Instead of a short-term test a long-term test according to OECD guideline 211 was conducted.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An available study according to OECD guideline 202 is regarded as invalid due to the limited exposure time of only 24 h and undissolved parts of the test material in the test media.

In Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that in case of short-term toxicity on invertebrates (preferred species Daphnia) the registrant may consider long-term toxicity testing instead of short-term especially if the substance is poorly water soluble. Thus, instead of repeating the short-term toxicity test a long-term toxicity test according to OECD guideline 211 was conducted by the registrant.
