Description of key information

The test substance has no explosive properties.

Additional information

The test substance does not contain chemical groups which are associated with explosive properties.

The oxygen balance of the test substance was –197%, which is higher than –200%. The value is obtained due to the presence of an acidic group in the molecular structure of the test substance. This group is not chemically instable or highly energetic. Based on this the test substance is considered to pose no risk for explodability.

 

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance does not contain chemical groups which are associated with explosive properties.

Therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.1.4.3 (a) the substance shall not be classified as explosive.
