As the water solubility of the substance was determined to be < 1 µg/L, short-term toxicity tests on aquatic organisms have been waived, except an algae study: the determination of the growth inhibition of the freshwater algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata exposed to the substance for a duration of 72 hours was assessed according to the OECD Guideline 201. Algae were exposed to one concentration of 100 mg/L of bis(dibutyldithiocarbamato-S,S')copper dissolved in dilution water (limit test) ; EC50-72h values were determined to be higher than the solubility limit of the test item in the conditions of the test. In order to confirm lack of aquatic toxicity and in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, long-term aquatic toxicity studies on Daphnia magna and Pimephales promelas were conducted. NOEC values were determined to be higher than the solubility limit of the test item in the conditions of both tests.
