Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature = 270 °C at 770 mm Hg, EU Method A.15, McLean 2013a

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
270 °C

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test material was determined under GLP conditions during a study conducted in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.15. Under the conditions of the study, the lowest temperature at which auto-ignition occurred was 270 °C at a volume of 100 µL. The barometric pressure during testing was 770 mm Hg.

The study was performed in line with GLP and an accepted standardised guideline with a good level of reporting. The study was therefore assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the substance.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, auto-ignition temperature 270 °C at 770 mm Hg, was taken forward for risk assessment.
