Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type of method:
capillary viscometer (static)
Temp.:
20°C
Parameter:
kinematic viscosity (in mm²/s)
Value:
334.4
Temp.:
40°C
Parameter:
kinematic viscosity (in mm²/s)
Value:
98.78

At 20 °C, viscosity of the Certified Reference Standard was determined twice: 157.96 and 157.85 mm2/s. Mean value: 157.9 mm2/s. In agreement with the viscosity standard (for this substance and temperature) of 157.6 ± 0.542 mm2/s.

At 40 °C, viscosity of the Certified Reference Standard was determined twice: 54.05 mm2/s both measurements and thus mean value. In agreement with the viscosity standard (for this substance and temperature) of 54.04 ± 0.171 mm2/s.

At both temperatures, viscosity of the test item was determined twice: 334.30 mm2/s at 20 °C both measurements and 98.78 mm2/s at 40 °C both measurements.

Description of key information

334.30 mm²/s at 20 °C
98.78 mm²/s at 40 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
98.78 mm²/s (static)
at the temperature of:
40 °C

Additional information

The kinematic viscosity of the substance 1,2,4 -benzenetricarboxylic acid, tri-C9 -11 -alkyl esters benzene-1,2 ,4 -tricarboxylate (CAS 94279 -36 -4) was determined at 20 and 40 °C using method ASTM D 445 -06, compatible with OECD Guideline 114.
