First-aid measures

General advice: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and store/dispose of safely

After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. In the event of symptoms take medical treatment.

After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water; Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Seek medical advice immediately.

After ingestion: Thoroughly clean the mouth with water. Call for medical advice immediately.

Notes to physician

Symptoms: The following symptoms may occur:- gastrointestinal complaints

Treatment: If swallowed, flush stomach.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In the event of fire the following

can be released:

- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

- Sulphur oxides

- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide

Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained

breathing apparatus and wear protective suit.

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

- High risk of slipping due to leakage/spillage of product.

- Use personal protective equipment.

- Keep away sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions:

- Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.

- Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up:

- Allow to set, take up mechanically.

- Dispose of collected material in accordance with the regulations.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling:

- Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).

- Avoid raising dust.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:

- Cool endangered containers by water spray

- Keep away from sources of ignition

- Do not smoke.

- Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading.

- Dust can form an explosive mixture with air.

- At work do not eat, drink, smoke or take drugs.

- Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.

- Wash hands before breaks and after work.

- Respiratory protection mask with combination filter AP2

- Hand protection: PVC gloves

- Eye protection: tightly fitting safety glasses

- Skin and body protection: light protective clothing. A protective ointment is recommended
