Test substrate
- Vehicle:
- no
- Details on preparation and application of test substrate:
- The test substance was mixed with quartz sand before the mixture is added to the substrate. The substrate, the quartz sand with the test substance and water are mixed to obtain a homogenous substrate with a water content of approx. 40% (per dry weight). A control without test substance was also tested.

Results and discussion
Effect concentrations
- Duration:
- 14 d
- Dose descriptor:
- NOEC
- Effect conc.:
- >= 1 000 mg/kg soil dw
- Nominal / measured:
- nominal
- Conc. based on:
- test mat.
- Basis for effect:
- mortality
- Details on results:
- No mortality (<10%) has been observed after 7 days and 14 days at a nominal test substance concentration of 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight.
- Results with reference substance (positive control):
- The toxicity of the reference substance has been tested at concentrations of 10, 30, 100 mg/kg. At 100 mg/kg no earthworm were found alive after 7 d and 14 d. The test is in the normal range and the test with the test substance is considered to be valid.
Any other information on results incl. tables
The highest test concentration of 1000 mg/kg did not lead to mortality after 7 and 14 days of exposure. (Validity criteria: <= 10 % mortality is fulfilled.)
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- The toxicity of the test substance on Eisenia foetida has been examined in a limit test. The test substance concentration of 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight did not lead to mortality of the earthworms after 7 and 14 days of exposure.
