Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

ENVIRONMENTAL FATE PROPERTIES
Summary of degradation
No hydrolysis or other abiotic degradation data are required for this substance, as the substance is readily biodegradable (degradation of 84.4 % after 28 day OECD 301D, Sipos, 2013a).
In addition the substance is very soluble in water with a water solubility of > 242 g/L (OECD 105, Sárvári, 2013).
Volatilisation
The vapour pressure of the substance was determined to be < 0.0015 Pa at 25 °C and therefore can be considered as non-volatile.
Distribution modelling
No distribution modelling data exist. However the very low KOC indicates that the substance will remain in the water phase.
Summary of environmental distribution
The absorption coefficient was estimated using the HPLC method (Sárvári, 2013b, OCED 121)
to be < 1.25, and the extrapolated log Koc was determined to be 1.10 (corresponding to KOC of 12.6 l/kg). For the environmental risk assessment a KOC of 12.6 l/kg was used for the PNEC and PEC calculations.
Summary and discussion of bioaccumulation
No experimental data on bioaccumulation exist. The data are not required as the hazard assessment performed concludes that the substance is of no immediate concern to the environment. The available data are adequate for classification and labelling purposes. In addition the log Kow of -0.571 shows the bioaccumulation potential is low.
Secondary poisoning
Bioaccumulation of the substance is not expected to occur (log Kow -0.571). Hence no secondary poisoning risk exists.
