Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
September 2017
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Remarks:
guideline study conducted under quality system (ISO-9001-2008)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
other: ISO-9001-2008
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Substance was tested as received. No special sample preparation was done.
Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
386 °C

A temperature rise of the sample is observed, resulting in a maximum temperature of 614°C. After that the oven stopped heating at 400°C and an endotherm effect was initiated.

After the test, almost all the sample was vanished (melted/decomposed). From the intake of 3.87 gram, 0.09 gram of residue remained in the cage.

The self-ignition temperature is by definition the temperature of the oven at which the sample temperature reaches 400°C. For this test substance the self-ignition temperature is 386°C.

Conclusions:
The relative self-ignition temperature of this substance is 386°C.
Executive summary:

The relative self-ignition temperature of Zirconium, dimethyl[[2,2'''-[1,3-propanediylbis(oxy-κO)]bis[3'',5,5''-tris(1,1-dimethylethyl)-5'-methyl[1,1':3',1''-terphenyl]-2'-olato-κO]](2-)]-,

(OC-6-33)- was determined according to EC Regulation No 440/2008, Guideline A.16 [1] and in accordance with European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a, Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008 [2].

The relative self-ignition temperature of this substance is 386°C.
