First-aid measures

· INHALATION
Description of first aid measures: if inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, administer oxygen and conduce him to the hospital.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: cough, breathing problem (bronchospasm).
· CONTACT WITH THE SKIN
Description of first aid measures: in case of skin contact, remove all contaminated clothing and shoes and wash the skin with copious amount of water for at least 15 minutes.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: reddening with itching
· CONTACT WITH THE EYES
Description of first aid measures: in case of contact with eyes flush immediately with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with finger.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: burning sensation.
· INGESTION
Description of first aid measures: if swallowed, wash out with water if the person is conscious. If a great quantity of the product has been ingested, give fruit juice or activated carbon and cause emesis, then bring urgently the person injured to the hospital.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: abdominal pain, nausea.
INDICATION OF ANY IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND SPECIAL TREATMENT NEEDED
(Zofenoptil Calcium). In case of excessive assumption, the patient must be held under tightened clinical observation, in an unit of intensive therapy. It is necessary to frequently control the creatinine and electrolytes. The therapeutic provisions to adopt depend on the nature and gravity of the symptomatology.
If the consumption has happened of recent, provisions you turn to prevent of the absorption which gastric lavender and give of adsorbing agents and sulphate of sodium can be implements to you.
In case of hypotension onset, the patients must be put in emergency position and must be estimated if to practice a careful restoration of volemia and/or a treatment with angiotensin II.
The bradycardia or the reactions rambles extended them must be dealt by means of giving of atropine. To also take in consideration the application of a pacemaker. The ACE-inhibitors can be eliminate to you from the circulation by means of haemodialysis. To avoid use of membranes of polyacrylonitrile to high flow.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Water spray, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or appropriate foams.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE
The heat decomposition or ignition of the product may produce toxic fumes and cause intoxication. Hazardous decomposition and combustion products include: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, NOx nitrogen oxides, and SOx.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
For single units (packages): no special requirements needed. For larger amounts (multiple packages/pallets) of product: since toxic, corrosive or flammable vapours might be evolved from fires involving the product and associated packaging, self contained breathing apparatus a full protective equipment are recommended for fire fighters. (Full facial mask with “Universal” filter). If possible, contain and collect fire fighting water for later disposal.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
· Prevention of skin and eye contact and personal clothing: wear protective clothing, protective glasses, rubber boots and heavy-duty rubber gloves.
· Provision for sufficient ventilation/respiratory protection: wear an independent respirator; evacuate the area and aerate the zone contaminated by the spilt product after cleaning it away completely.
· Control of dust: avoid forming clouds of dust/powder.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not allow the product to enter water or the soil. Prevent it from entering the drains or sewers. Use suitable containers for preventing environmental pollution.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
· Use of absorbent material Vermiculite, dry sand, earth.
· Cleaning methods: immediately contact emergency personnel; evacuate and ventilate area; wear appropriate personal protective equipment; clean up spills or leak immediately; wash the contaminated area with water then absorb with an inert material (vermiculite, dry sand, earth, etc) and place in a closed chemical waste container for disposal.

Handling and storage

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
· Containment, local and general ventilation, measures to prevent aerosol and dust generation and fire
The premises set up for the handling of the product must be fitted out with localised and controlled aeration systems (laminar flow hoods, etc.) capable of confining the dispersion of the active ingredient in the form of air-dispersed powder. Use hoods with interchangeable filters.
· Advice on general occupational hygiene
Use suitable personal protection devices including certified respirators, protective safety glasses and compatible gloves resistant against chemical agents. Wash yourself with care after each handling operation. Never eat, drink or smoke during handling. Safety shower and washing stations for rinsing eyes must be provided.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES
· Specific storage requirements to control of the environmental effects: store in a dry, well-ventilated storage area at room temperature; keep container tightly closed when not in use or empty.
· Type of materials used in packing/containers of substance: pack the product in double polythene bags, individually sealed and store in cardboard bins fitted with an aluminium safety locking ring.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- EYE/ FACE PROTECTION Wear protective glasses (EN 166) during the execution of any industrial type of operations. If necessary, wear a protective face shield.
- SKIN PROTECTION Use work overalls and/or coat, or dustproof overalls in Tyvek with hood for industrial type operations.
- HAND PROTECTION
- Type of material and thickness: wear Nitrile or rubber gloves (neoprene). Minimum thickness of gloves: 0,11 mm.
- Typical or minimum breakthrough times of the glove material: permeability is not anticipated with dry solid substances and therefore the duration of the protective gloves has not been calculated. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of the EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
- RESPIRATORY PROTECTION Wear an FFP1 dustproof mask or a Respirator connected to the air supply (if necessary, use a mask with an P1 type filter EN143).

Stability and reactivity

CHEMICAL STABILITY Stability studies show that the product is stable in normal conditions of storing (room temperature, relative humidity).
POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS No hazardous polymerisations occur.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS The heat decomposition or ignition of the product may produce toxic fumes and cause intoxication. Hazardous decomposition and combustion products include: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, NOx nitrogen oxides, and SOx.

Disposal considerations

WASTE TREATMENT METHODS
· INCINERATION Dissolve or mix the product with a combustible solvent then incinerate in an incinerator for chemical products equipped with a postcombustion and destruction system.
- DISPOSAL METHODS SUITABLE FOR THE SUBSTANCE This material and its containers must be disposed of as hazardous waste products.
- SUITABLE DISPOSAL METHODS FOR COMBINED PACKAGING MATERIALS The combined packaging materials must be disposed of as hazardous waste products.
Work in compliance with the national and local laws in force.
