Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Bring injured person into fresh air. If uncomfortable seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amounts of water. Remove any contact
lenses. Seek medical attention, if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash skin with water and soap.
Seek medical attention, if reaction persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth and drink 1-2 glasses of water. If
uncomfortable, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, carbon dioxide or dry powder
Product arising from burning: CO; CO2
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full breathing protection, gloves, goggles
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of dust.
Use appropriate personal protection (e.g. gloves, safety
goggles). Do not discharge into drains, water courses or
onto the ground.
Isolate the spillage. Use vacuum cleaner. If this is not
possible, humidify the dust with very little water and
transfer spillage to closed containers. Dispose-off waste
according to national, state and local regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance is handeled as a dangerous substance. Good
manufacturing practice and good industrial hygiene standard
shall be maintained. Inhalation of dust and contact with
skin and eyes should be avoided. Adequate ventilation is
required. Protective gloves should be used.
Storage: The substance is stored as a dangerous substance. TOBA
should be stored in original containers in a dry place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: TOBA is imported from U.S.A. in drums.
