Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the injured person to fresh air. Seek medical
attention if ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate eyes throughly whilst lifting eyelides. Seek
medical attention if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Then wash with soap and water.
Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water (do not swallow). Seek medical
attention if ill effects occur.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: The substance does not burn easily therefore the choose of
the right estinguishing agent must consider the other
materials involved in the fire.
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and iodine
vapours.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear full personal protective equipment
including breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect up spilled material and place into suitable
containers for disposal. The spilled material should be
incinerated in an authorised facility. The affected area
should be washed with water, taking care not to let
contaminated water enter the public watercourse.
Handling and storage
Handling: Operations are either carried out in closed systems or
alternatively under local exhaust ventilation. Workers must
wear appropriate personal protective equipment including a
facemask equipped with a P2 filter, rubber or neoprene
gloves, disposable protection suits.
All contaminated clothing should be disposed.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry well ventilated place. Keep containers
tightly closed and keep away from sources of ignition.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Metallic drums (60 liters) containing two antistatic
polyethylene bags.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None known.
Chemical reaction with water: None.
Dust explosion: Like most organic materials, a suspended cloud of the
substance may ignite if subjected to a strong ignition
source or high voltage.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: If the substance is out of specification, it can be
reprocessed according to a validated method. Any spilled
material is collected in suitable containers and sent for
disposal at a suitable incineration facility.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not anticipated.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration could be the preferred method of destruction.
The substance can be sent to an authorized incineration
facility equipped with an after burner and scrubber.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable, the substance will not enter the public
domain.
