Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air and seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical
advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Protective clothing and a self contained breathing apparatus
should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage and collect mechanically (eg industrial
vacuum). Small residues can be washed off with water and
collected as solution. Transfer spill to labelled containers
and dispose of by incineration in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions when handling organic
chemicals. Gloves and safety goggles should be worn.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Storage: Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well
ventilated place.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of the powdered or gellous material is possible.
Recovery from solutions or preparations in limited. However,
in specific cases, evaporation of solvent may be applied as
a means of recovery. (A616)
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance is not classified as readily biodegradable but
the results obtained indicate that the substance will
biodegrade; therefore, it is expected to degrade if
discharged into waste waters. Care should be taken when
disposing of larger volumes of the substance using this
route to ensure proper dilution of the substance.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method, for larger volumes, at a suitable
facility. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen
should be fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not classifed as readily biodegradable but
the results obtained indicate that the substance will
biodegrade; therefore, discharge into waste waters with
degradation by sewage treatments is possible. When
sufficiently diluted (to below acute toxic concentrations)
the substance is not expected to affect the performance of
water purification systems.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of preparations which may be disposed of with normal
household waste.
