Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact: No irritation on eye, but if there is contact immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Skin contact: No allergy, no irritation on skin no special caution.
Inhalation: Even if air contaminated with dust, normal ventilation system is useful.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Give the person one or two glasses of water, try to get the victim to vomit by having the victim touch the back of their throat with a finger.
Fire-fighting measures
In case of fire, use water spray, foam, dry chemical powder or carbon dioxide.
Accidental release measures
Sweep up, place in an bag and recycle if possible.
Handling and storage
Storage: Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated location. Separate from nitrate salt.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters: Not established
Personal protective equipment: For mist conditions, no respiratory protection should be needed for. However, in dusty atmospheres, use an approved dust respirator.
Stability and reactivity
Autoignition temperature: No ignition at 500 °C
Flammability: Flammable if there is fire origin
Stability: Generally stable
Hazardous Decomposition: Decomposition may product oxides of carbon
Hazardous: None
Polymerization conditions and material to avoid: Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents
Disposal considerations
This material is recovered for reuse of recycling. Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator Equipper with an afterburner and scrubber, because when potassium sulfate is dissolved, generate of toxic gas SOx.
