Description of key information

Since the substance is insoluble in water, a test on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

DBMC is poorly soluble in water. Therefore, in accordance with the criteria of Annex VIII of Regulation 1907/2006/EC, a hydrolysis study is not needed.

Furthermore, DBMC does not contain functional groups that are susceptible to hydrolysis, as was noted in the summary report of the PBT working group.
