Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with EC 1907/2006, Annex VIII, point 9.2.2.1, column 2, hydrolysis investigations as a function of the pH are not required since the substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
56.7 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A valid GLP OECD 111 key study shows that the substance is stable at pH 4 and 7 (DT-50 > 1 year). At pH 9, the extrapolated DT-50 at 25°C is 56.7 days. Hence abiotic decomposition is base catalyzed. Stability during 2 days in aqueous test solutions for a OECD 202 study, i.e. at 20°C and pH 7 to 8 is confirmed by a valid experiment under GLP.
