Additional information

In the non-GLP Klimisch 1 study from Holzschuh (2012) the explosivve properties of MCAM were investigated according to EU method A.14. Based on the thermal stability and the chemical structure and the list of reactive groups that could have explosive properties (Bretherick’s Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, Butterworths, 4th edition) it can be excluded that MCAM has explosive properties.

This result is considered relevant and reliable for the risk assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the thermal stability and the chemical structure and the list of reactive groups that could have explosive properties (Bretherick’s Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, Butterworths, 4th edition) it can be excluded that MCAM has explosive properties.
