Crude oil contains hydrogen sulphide (H2S), extremely flammable gas that may form explosive mixtures on contact with air. Corrosive gas. Risk of intoxication by hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Hydrogen sulphide (H2S), extremely toxic gas, is characterized by a rotten egg smell even if present only in traces. If the exposure continues, the odor is no longer perceptible (olfactory fatigue). Anesthesia of smell more than 100 ppm. Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) can accumulate on the surface of the containers of this product and it can reach dangerous concentrations. The contact with hot product causes THERMAL BURNS. |
