ECHA has released a new portal that allows companies to prepare and submit information on hazardous mixtures that can be used by poison centres.
Non-compliant information on chemicals is a serious issue that needs to be fixed. Progress has been made with evaluation but further measures are planned to raise the percentage of dossiers checked and increase efficiency.
The May issue of the ECHA Newsletter introduces ECHA’s Submission portal for poison centre notifications and explains ECHA’s role in setting occupational exposure limits.
Disruption of ECHA’s IT systems
On 15-16 May, due to an infrastructure problem, our IT systems were unavailable. Our systems are now resumed, but many are still unstable and you might continue to face interruptions in using them. We are working to stabilise the systems as soon as possible and apologise for the inconvenience caused
