Release of the new version of REACH-IT is postponed

ECHA reluctantly has to extend the testing period of the new version of
REACH-IT and therefore its launch is postponed. A news alert will be released later this month with an update.

Helsinki, 19 March 2010 – This additional testing is necessary because the new version is not behaving reliably enough to pass the quality test for release. Given the vital importance to companies and ECHA of a robust REACH-IT system, the work will continue until the Agency is satisfied.

Companies are still able to submit and update dossiers (prepared using IUCLID versions 5.0 and 5.1) using the current version of REACH-IT.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause to companies who had planned to submit or update dossiers at this time using IUCLID 5.2.

ECHA is contacting the small number of companies (less than ten) who have a requirement to submit a registration update during this period of postponement.

The planned shutdown of REACH-IT from March 18 to 22 to allow for the migration of data from the present to the new version will now not take place.
