Many Business Rules are now added to the Technical Completeness Check (TCC) plugin supporting submission of registrations. Inquiry and CLP
notifications are now also included in the tool.

Helsinki, 19 July 2010 - The IUCLID 5 TCC tool already allowed checking of the completeness of REACH registration dossiers and PPORD notifications before submitting them to the European Chemicals Agency.

This new version of the TCC plugin includes new business rules for registrations and increases the accuracy of the TCC and Business Rules which were already included in the previous versions. In addition, the Business Rules checks have been extended to support the inquiry and CLP notifications.

ECHA recommends the industry to use this tool to check whether the information necessary for ECHA to process the dossiers is correctly inserted. By launching this new version ECHA expects a lower rate of business rule failures for registrations. However, some specific business rule checks cannot be incorporated in the plugin and can only be performed in REACH-IT itself.

Therefore, submissions that passed the plugin can still fail REACH-IT business rules and will get an explanatory error message. Companies that are repeatedly unable to resolve the submission errors are invited to send an enquiry to our helpdesk and will, where appropriate, be contacted by ECHA.
