Action area 1: Increase common understanding among stakeholders

 

Action 1.1: Understanding the purpose of the information in the chemical safety report (CSR)

The aim is to achieve a common understanding among stakeholders on the purpose of different pieces of information in the CSR. The expected outcome is definition of the key elements in a CSR. 

Status: Completed

A workshop was organised with Member States in October 2013, and essential information on use conditions and exposure from the CSR have been introduced as data fields in IUCLID 6 which has been published in 2016. These adaptations are consistent with the OECD template covering use and exposure.

Action 1.2 : Understanding the purpose of the information in the the exposure scenario (ES) for communication

The aim is to achieve a common understanding among stakeholders on the purpose of different pieces of information in the exposure scenario (ES) for communication. The expected outcome is the definition of the "content essentials" for the exposure scenario for communication (environmental, occupational and consumer exposure controls).
