PPORD Notification
You may be exempted from the obligation to register the quantity of your substance which is subject to product and process oriented research and development (PPORD). In this case you need to submit a PPORD notification to ECHA.
It is important to read carefully the critical information for PPORD notifications outlined below, before making a PPORD notification.
What you need to do to prepare and submit your PPORD notification to ECHA:
-
Account creation in REACH-IT: As a PPORD notifier, you must sign-up in REACH-IT IT (as explained on the “Sign-up” page) to create an account and be able to submit your dossier.
-
Preparation of the PPORD notification: Prepare your PPORD notification by creating a dossier in IUCLID 5.
-
Manuals on data submission: It is important to read carefully the Data Submission Manuals, especially manuals 1 and 5, before preparing your dossier (see below). Also the Industry User Manual for REACH-IT Part 6 (Dossier Submission) will help you by providing step-by-step instructions leading you in the process.
-
Supporting IT tool: Before submitting your PPORD notification, apply the Technical Completeness Check Tool for Product and Process Orientated Research and Development (PPORD) to your dossier (see below) to identify possible fields of your dossier where information is missing.
Note: Make sure to include any missing information, reported by the tool, in the dossier that you will submit to ECHA. -
Submission to ECHA: Submit your PPORD notification dossier using the REACH-IT Portal.
