Traineeships in the European Chemicals Agency

The European Chemicals Agency offers traineeships for periods of up to six months. The traineeship programme aims to promote awareness, knowledge, expertise and understanding on EC chemicals legislation and ECHA’s role in its implementation among the stakeholder community by providing people who are aiming for or engaged in a career in fields related to EC chemicals legislation with hands-on experience of the work of ECHA.

It also aims to facilitate the entry into professional life and promote the professional development of suitably qualified people who are aiming for or engaged in a career in fields relating to EC chemicals legislation.

  • Benefits from the input of enthusiastic young graduates and professionals, who can give a fresh point of view and up-to-date academic knowledge, which will enhance the everyday work of ECHA.
  • Facilitates the implementation of EC chemicals legislation by enhancing the knowledge base of the stakeholder community.

It creates within the stakeholder community a pool of young people with first-hand experience of ECHA and its working methods, who will facilitate cooperation between ECHA and the stakeholder community in the future.

Trainees are required mainly in ECHA´s operational units, but a limited number of traineeships can be awarded to trainees with a background in ICT or administration.
