Description of key information

Based on chemical structure and handling experience with ammonia 1% by wt. the viscosity of the monochloramine solution at 20 °C should be very near to the viscosity of water at this temperature i.e. it is about 1.02 E-6 m2s-1.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
1.02 mm²/s (static)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Based on chemical structure and handling experience with ammonia 1% by wt. the viscosity of the monochloramine solution at 20 °C should be very near to the viscosity of water at this temperature i.e. it is about 1.02 E-6m2s-1. Therefore the study does not need to be conducted according to section 1 of Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
